Dotz Girl Anna in the footsteps of concept cars, world premieres and exclusive subsets
From 29 August to 9 September 2012 Moscow stages the bi-annually International Automobile Salon.
Dotz was also present with the set of rims around this year's highlight, the Fast Seven.
With us in Moscow was Dotz girl Anna, who, as representative of the performance rim, turned men's heads and signed a lot of posters.
Next to it was also time to examine the best pieces of the car industry. Such as the Mercedes SLS AMG with 6.2-liter V8 engine. 571hp accelerate the roadster to 317km/h.
Mercedes has also brought the Concept Style Coupé. Based on the new Mercedes A-Class car the concept comes with four doors and a typical coupé tail.
The German competition also brought a first draft to Moscow: The BMW i8 Concept Spyder - a development of the study "Vision Efficient Dynamics".
Less focused on fuel than on output efficiency was BMW subsidiary Mini. The highly tuned John Cooper Works GP-Concept has made in a pure vote ride the Nürburgring-Nordschleife in 8:23 minutes.
Mini brought also a Coupé version of the John Cooper Works.
At the Ford booth the futuristic study Evos Concept caught the eye. The 4.5-meter-long and only 1.36 meters high fastback sedan makes a brawny physique with the flared wheel arches.
VW showed its commitment to the WRC rally and displayed the star, the Polo WRC from Sebastian Ogier with 1.6-liter TSI engine and 300hp.
Audi came with a world premiere to Moscow. The R8 V10 Plus Coupe with numerous carbon elements achieves the 100km/h-mark with 550hp in 3.5 seconds.
What is elsewhere the top model is downsizing at Bentley. The Contintental GT is now equipped with a V8 instead of 12 cylinders. The Gran Turismo is powered with 507hp and starts at a prize level of about 162,000 EUR.
We remain in England. As SUV fan, Anna died for the Range Rover Evoque tuned by Startech.
Also from the island is the Jaguar XKR-S coupe with a 5 liter V8 engine with 550hp. The big cat accelerates in 4.4 seconds to 100km/h and reaches 300km/h top speed.
Annas Moscow favorite was different: the Infinity FX Sebastian Vettel edition has impressed the Dotz girl in particular. With a new sports exhaust system and a recalibrated engine management system the five-liter V8 creates 420 hp. Enough to push the SUV within 5.6 seconds from zero to 100 km/h. The top speed increased with a longer final drive ratio to 300 km/h. Only problem: How should Anna wrench it from the Infinity girl?
The Asian producers as well did not miss to compete in Moscow. Toyota showed the new tuning icon par excellence, the GT86.
Co-developer Subaru brought the sister model BZR as STI study with large rear spoiler, side skirts, a deep-drawn front apron, a diffuser and a four-tailpipe exhaust system made of stainless steel.
Also very sleek: The Kia GT. The 4.69-meter-long study with a 3.3-liter V6 gasoline direct injection engine delivers 395hp.
Hyundai took an entire hall to display his exhibits. In the center was a 80kw engine and a lithium-ion battery with a CO2 emission of 45 grams in the i-oniq Hybrid Concept.
Nissan is even one step ahead. The Leaf Nismo RC Zero Emission achieves from an AC engine with lithium-ion batteries 280Nm and cracks the 100km/h-mark in 6.85 seconds. The top speed according to Nissan is 150km/h. The battery can provide race pace for 20 minutes.
But also the U.S. producers came to Moscow. Chevrolet displayed a Corvette Stingray study. The aggressive approach with the gullwing doors is a reminiscent of the classic Stingray models.
The Chevrolet 130R should take on the BMW 1 with a 1.4-liter turbo gasoline engine with 150 hp in combination with an electric motor.
The TRU 140S again stands alone with his extreme wedge shape with a height of only 1.36 meters.
Even pure America: The stars from the Pixar movie "Cars". Lightning McQueen, the NASCAR racer, Sally (2002 Porsche 911) and Hook, the tow truck (1955 Chevrolet Stepside).
But also old school versions were sent to Russia: a '67 Camaro and...
...a Porsche 550 A Spyder built in 1965 with an amazing 135hp and 240 km/h top speed.
And of course, what was not missing in Moscow as well as with any other car show: Girls ...
…girls, girls.
