After Dotz Teamrider Adam Kerenyi showed us what his heart is really beating for, famous Airbrush artist and Dotz Teamrider Knud Tiroch now shares his passion with us. In the clip he gives us an inisght into the world of airbrushing and muscle car tuning.
„Artist & Collector – Hotrodder & Musclecarfreak“ - that's how the 55 year old describes himself on his website. The graduate of the Academy of Arts in Vienna has combined his tool, the airbrush gun and his passion for cars and made it into a career.
It all started in the 1980s when he devoloped his interest in airbrushing and went to Custompaint Studios in Chicago to improve his technique. That's where he learned the whole range from scale flat painting via graffity painting to the most difficult avantgarde techniques. At the same time, he developed his love and passion for muscle cars and came back to Austria with a 73 Plymouth Roadrunner GTX.
In the following years, he worked to improve his own airbrush-technique he named G-Rave and is now considered one of european's top airbrushers. Six years ago, he has even started to do the artwork for Toro Rosso's Formula 1 cars.
Probably his most famous work is equipped with Dotz Las Vegas and was named „Knudzilla“. The evil looking 1950 Chevy with the deepened roof, a partly matt and partly shiny finish and a radiator grill with the man-eater outfit was crowned „King of Custom“ at the Elmia Bilsport Performance Motorshow in Sweden last year. With a rearview mirror from the streetfighter scene, a very new deco inside and some extra-short springs, Knud Tiroch has definitely found his way to cruise in style.
