Two unbelievable but very true extreme sports

Some people are constantly looking for new ways to make their favorite pastime even more extreme. While some of us go skydiving once in their lifetime or do some bungee jumping every once in while, there are people who can't get enough of those adrenlaine rushes.
Miles Daisher is defintely one of them. For the 40 year old from Twin Falls, Idaho, the extreme sport skydiving wasn't enough. So he decided to connect elements from both air and water and started to jump out of planes in a kayak. After his descent with about 100 mph, he opens his parachute at 5000 feet above ground and then lands in the water.
But Daisher is not only a skydiver and skyaker, with more than 2500 jumps he's also one of the world's most active base jumpers.
Some of his spectacular jumps and flights can be watched on his Youtube-channel.

    Extreme Ironing

Another extreme sport that lets us shake our heads in disbelief is called „extreme ironing“. The athletes combine the thrills of an extreme outdoor activity, like ice climbing or bog snorkelling with the satisfaction of a well pressed shirt. The idea was born in 1997 by a factory worker who was sick of the boring chore of ironing at home, so he grabbed his pile of clothes and his iron and combined it with his hobby of rock climbing. Since then, about 1000 people all over the world have picked up the extreme sports and in 2002, the first world championships in extreme ironing were carried out in Germany.

Skyaking and exteme ironing – just two examples of unbelievable but very true extreme sports. Have you heard of any other strange or funny disciplines?
