Dotzlight Team Drift Marco Blasutta
The Dotz drift team was enriched by a superstar earlier this year: Marco Blasutta is one of Europe's best in the industry and has also shown that he can keep up with the D1 drifters.
A hot-blooded Italian who stays cool in the right moments: Marco Blasutta is clever curving around Europes drift tracks in a BMW E36. Built-in is a Nissan RB26 engine that was designed for the Skyline. The motor provides 350hp to Marcos BMW.
Since he became Dotz drift teamrider at the beginning of the season, he has bolted a Fast Seven to his car. The now 40-year-old Lombard has notched up a number of well-known successes. Before he went to the racetrack, however, Blasutta was drift instructor till 2010 and has received a diploma by the Japanese Team Orange during this period.
A diploma that allowed him to attend the world's most spectacular drift series: the D1 in Japan. In 2012 Marco took the ride to the land of the rising sun to compete with the masters.
And Marco has already shown that the trip to Japan was justified: Blasutta is drifting in the D1 Street Legal series and took the great 13th place in his very first race to move himself into the middle of the Japanese elite.
Apart from that Blasutta achieved top positions in the Italian championship during the last years and 2011 he also had his drifting breakthrough in the European arena: with the third place in the King of Europe Marco was able to establish himself as a driftpro.
Besides Marco there is another new fellow in the Dotz drift team. More about Diego Quaranta coming here soon.
