With seven competitions on three continents, this year's Red Bull Cliff Diving 2012 World Series promises to be the best yet. Starting on the French island of Corsica on June 23rd, the high diving talents will once again show their best skills when diving into water from heights of 26 metres plus.
This year, the atheletes are presented with a new challenge - a face-off during the second and third rounds of competition. The ranking for the head-to-head will be determined by the results of the first round: No. 1 will compete against No. 14, No. 2 against 13th, etc. After doing one required and one optional dive, the seven winners and one lucky loser will advance to the fourth and final round of the competition.
In the end, all scores are combined and the athlete with the highest overall score will be pronounced winner.

After the kick-off event in Corsica, the divers will proceed to Grimstad in Norway. After competitions in Portugal, Ireland, USA and Wales, the Sultanate of Oman will host the season's showdown. Only then shall we know, if anyone will be able to beat two-time Champion Gary Hunt.
