    Audi reveals crazy electric bike

Two wheels instead of four, an electric motor and a "Wheelie" mode, where you're meant to bike on the rear wheel: car manufacturer Audi surprised tuning-fans at this year's GTI meeting with the prototype of an E-bike, called "Wörthersee". Mainly made of carbon, the two-wheeler has a top speed of 80 km/h (50 miles per hour).
In the "Pure" mode, the bike is solely moved by muscle power, whereas in the "Pedelec" mode, the biker is supported by the electric motor. But you can also sit back and relax while the electric motor does all the work for you in the so-called "eGrip" mode. The bike can go as fast as 50 km/h (31 miles per hour) when operated entirely by electricity.

"The E-bike combines a high-precision appearance with emotions and functionality. Our development was inspired by the design principles of racing cars" says designer Hendrik Schaefers about the idea behind Audi's fast trick bike with the extraordinary design.
