A mighty starting field of 56 tuners at the European Tuning Showdown (ETS) at Lake Constance competeted for the attention of the jury and the prices - for the best three, Dotz as a co-sponsor gave away a set of rims.

The Duel: 28 times (two participants had a bye) two tuners lined up with their cars at Tuning World Bodensee for the first round of the European Tuning Shodowns (ETS). Dotz as one of the main sponsors gave away a set of rims for the best three of the second ETS. The first took place at the My Car in Dortmund in 2010.

The jury had to work a lot. Show & Shine was proclaimed, alongside the cars were rated in various categories such as body, interior including hifi, rims and wheels, engine and the quality of the reconstruction process.

Fifth place was won by Marco Röhring with his 1999 Passat 3B, equipped in candy red with a white VW leather interior and the engine room with gold and silver. In addition to a front conversion Röhring scored with cleaned bumpers and doors.

In the cleaned engine room stainless steel air intakes and gold inserts provide a high degree of bling bling effects.

Stefan Zoch brought his Passat 35i with a terra cotta pearl-finish to Friedrichshafen. In the 1991 VW a KW coilover suspension, a G60 brake and a VR6 engine was installed.

There are also two subwoofers for powerful sound and a total of 15 monitors for entertainment from front to rear.

An Astra Caravan, year 2000, made it to the podium. The Opel of Robert Klinger was enobled in 500 hours with a complete airbrush.

The motor is a 16V Turbo from the Opel Calibra with 300hp. Forged pistons, a cylinder head work and a self-made motor mount convinced the jury.

In four Recaro seats the self-designed dashboard can be enjoyed. A Ground Zero Plutonium-soundsystem with max. 10,000 watts takes care that even the airbrushed floor of the Astra has the right groove.

A more than five meters long street cruiser won second place at ETS: a 1967 Chevy Impala by Viktor Illenseer. 80% homemade work influenced the car as well as a choped roof and an extended front in the American.

A three-layer clear coat provides the classy look, the finest leather handles and an instrument panel trim in brushed metal are the eye-catchers inside.

80% of the 200hp engine with sports exhaust are chrome-plated.

The big winner at the Dotz-sponsored ETS was Uwe Wolf with his Kadett C Coupe. For the Opel restructuring Uwe has received from the hands of Dotz girl Anna and Miss Tuning Frizzi Arnold the trophy and a voucher for a set of Dotz rims worth 1,500 EUR. He also got hand of a tuning expedition to Las Vegas.

The 1976 Kadett is a true shining miracle. Uwe Wolf chrome-plated all attachments including the enhanced powertrain. For other effects he mounted 24 carat gold plated fittings.

    Audiosystem and...

…Clarion provided a mighty 10,000 watts sound system.

The retro-coupe is powered by a high-density 2.2-liter engine with around 200hp. All attachment parts are chrome-plated including the cylinder head and a racing carburettor with open funnels takes care of the proper racing fuel mixture. Dotz congratulates all participants and in particular Uwe Wolf to the successful reconstructions.
