tags: Action & SportsApril is traditionally the time for spring, sun - and the beginning of drift action packed weekends. Dotz is represented by his drivers in the best series around the world - with Marco Blasutta even starting in Japanese D1.

The King of Europe series starts April 20th in Poznan, Poland. Dotz, this year a major sponsor of the series, will come up with something like a motor home at many of the eight stops of the series. The tuning brand plays a leading role in the series - in form of Dotz Rider Team Adam Kerenyi and Sebastien Cornec.
The two drifters, who are among the best in their profession, are also back together in 2012 as Dotz drift team. After an exciting thriller in the finals of last season, the team title was just missed by a few points. Reason enough for the Dotz drift team to go into the new season with even more motivation. In a new team design and on Dotz Fast Seven Team edt. the hunt for the title starts again.
The Hungarian Adam Kerenyi will put his consistency and quality into play again. The results of Kerenyi in recent years speak for themselves: winner of the 2009 series, in the years 2010 and 2011 he came in second. For 2012, Adam has yet announced performance upgrades of his BMW.
His partner in the Dotz team, Sebastien Cornec had to fight in the 2011 season with motor disorders to his Nissan Skyline and placed in the overall ranking well below his level.
2012, the Frenchman, also with basic improvements to his car and even more horsepower under the hood, will hit the drift tracks in Europe.
Here is a little taste of the explosive King of Europe series with the best drifters in Europe. For those who want to be right up close: Dotz raffles amongst his Facebook fans a weekend at the King of Europe final 2012. How can you participate you find out here.
In addition to the sporting aspect King of Europe meetings of course never lack beautiful women. Thus Dotz Girl Anna will refine the Dotz stand at the King of Europe opener from 20th to 22nd of April.
But that's not enough material from Dotz: the two Italians Diego Quaranta, King of Europe Winner 2011, and Marco Blasutta this year also mount up their tires on Dotz rims.
Marco Blasutta will burn his rubbers not only in Europe. The Italian has a D1 license and will make his way to Japan for one or the other race to compete with the living legends of the D1 series.
The Japanese D1 series - basis of the global drift scene and still the elite of the sport - will meet for the first measurement of the drift angle on April 14th on the artificial island of Odaiba in Tokyo.
Seven times the Americans match at the 2012 edition of Formula D. Between Irwindale and Long Beach prominent names like Rhys Millen and Vaughn Gittin start their 500hp engines.
Until May 19th Dotz Rider Jazz Williams, who has just opened his tests, has to wait until he takes his Skyline for his new Skyline team to the first battle, when the season opener of the JDM Allstars starts in Birmingham.
A total of six times the Allstars meet to cross their tires. A special show promises the meeting on June 23rd: the drifters will hit the O2 Arena in London.
Otherwise the season brings trips to Hungary, Malta and Romania. Under the slogan "Catch my drift," Jazz and his team all year is accompanied by a camera team that will provide videos online for each race.
In Austria Dotz is a also among the favourites for a drift title: Rupert Schachinger competes at ÖAMTC Drift Challenge Austria with his revamped and more powerful RX8.

After second place in the 2011 series this year Schachinger thinks big. The first run of the DCA starts April 14th in Saalfelden.

So, the drift season 2012 is about to open. More coming soon on dotzmag.com.
