Dotz Teamrider Remi Bizouard rocks Masters of Dirt tags: Action & Sports

For six weeks Andi Wittmann and his companions shoveled through Salzburg to create a spectacular castle. Now the nine best mountainbikers showed their amazing tricks at this fortress.

Drop tower, speed jump and big hitter: without a break the organisers of Dotz sponsored 9Knights shaped the Wildkogelalm into a castle. Huge masses of soil were moved.
The concept is easy. Nine chosen knights are fighting for the crown as well as several challengers who could apply for the event within the video contest “Wanna be a Knight?” Then the chosen Knights and the contest winners had four days, to explore the castle and their characteristics with their bike.
Two kickers with distances from 9,5 to 12 meter learned the knights to fly.
Just behind the castle a steep turn was waiting ahead of...
...a five meter steep drop, which commanded respect even from honourable men on wheels like Geoff Gulevisch.
The journey then went through a singletrail, where the host of the event Andi Wittmann & his respected knight colleagues were searching for the perfect sloping position.
Well-deserved because of his contribution at “Wanna be a Knight?” one of the mounted in Salzburg was Dotz teamrider Andi Brewi – he came to the Alps in freeride-fashion with a Dotz Freeride.

And like in medieval times also the 9Knights elected a winner: Frenchman Yannick Granieri won the Big Air-contest and received – no, not a princess kiss, but at least some laurels.
The title „Ruler of the trail“ went to his fellow countryman Pierre Eduard Ferry.
And while the photographers contested for the best shot in the Alps,...
... Martin Söderström from Sweden won two of the four competitions, „Best Style“ and „Best Trick, and received not only the honour to be decorated as best knight of the weekend but also a Dotz tuning wheels voucher worth 1.500 EUR.
With a proper knights banquet the 9Knights at Wildkogelalm came to an end and everybody took off his armour again and swaped it for civilian clothes.
