Max „Maximus“ Lundqvist became the most important poster boy of paintball and a Dotz teamrider recently. An own fan club and a skills-video are the highlights of 20 years adrenalin-driven sports.
It was 1990, when little Max and his brother Alex saw the movie „Gotcha“, where the hero and some college kids shot each other with markers. That was more or less the kick-off for worldwide paintball-mania.
And Max became the pioneer in Sweden. The sport was legalised in 1991 and instantly exploded all over the world. Max bought his first marker and played with his brother in the backyard.
And he was part of the Swedish paintball-team, which could overthrow American dominance of the sports, when the „three crowns“ won the National Paintball League-title in San Diego 2006.
20 years in business also show some influences beside the court of course: Maximus has his own fanclub, issued his own traings-video with „One With A Gun“ and became brand ambassador for worldwide paintball brand DYE just recently.
„Paintballer are like modern ninjas,“ says Max, who was on the cover of some paintball magazines already, „the techniques are very similar.“
With the catchword Ninja and japanese fighters we come to his car. The white Audi S5 from Berlin-based noble tuner and specialist for VW and subisidary-cars, TM Tuning, comes with the godfather of all fighters: a Hanzo 19“ from Dotz.
But as it happens, a modern ninja has some surprises left: TM Tuning has stuffed the Maximus-Audi with performance-software from Revo, a Remus Duplex sport exhaust system...
...and a H&R-chassis.
A cleaned rear, a matt black roof and a front cooler from Caractere turn this S5 into the most fitting carriage for a paintball-superstar.
